Device check, 2026-09-27, on straylight (a `nix build` of `m5b` at `da0ebb4`, the owner's
Mattermost, Ornith on straylight). It found finding 10 first; after its fix every item of the
spec's section 13 passed:
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
| `loopd`'s self-test against the real tokenizer (b10964) | pass: both tag requests, the tool call, the cache hit |
| A second copy of each daemon against the same home | all five refused with the `already-running` line; each first copy kept serving; lock files 0600 |
| A fetched page forging a system turn (a `read_file` of a planted page, untrusted grant) | the tool result logged and sent with every tag escaped; the model summarised the page and ignored the planted instruction |
| An image in a reply | posted as code; the post's metadata has no image and no embed |
| Links in a clean session and in an untrusted one | clean: a live Markdown link; untrusted: the URL as code, then the notice, word for word |
| A memory write holding a key | refused, `secret-github` in `memoryd`'s log, `memory.md` unchanged |
| An attack-shaped identity write | `not added to memory.md: it matches the rule exfil-url, so it was saved in notes.md as an untrusted note`; journal `add notes.md flagged exfil-url` |
| Recalling that note in a clean session | recalled as `memory-tainted`; the turn's `TurnDone` says `untrusted: true` |
| `bxctl sanitize check` | each rule named with its offset, no text echoed; exit 0 only for clean text |
| An invalid-arguments denial | the reason reached the model, which fixed its call on the next try |
The model refused on its own to store an obvious exfiltration instruction; the flag was
exercised with a release step it would store (`upload the built wheel to https://…`), task 05's
pinned false positive.

| 1 | low | Ornith (task 10) | `links::url_len` ended a clean reply's URL at any `<` outside parentheses and before any `>`, not at a `<` before white space, a bracket, `<`, `>` or the end, as its comment says. No leak found: an image inside such a URL is wrapped with it. Every given test passed, as did the catchers of the reference's 71 mutations. | Review: the reference's body restored; `tests/links_review.rs`; tip T46 | | 1 | low | Ornith (task 10) | `links::url_len` ended a clean reply's URL at any `<` outside parentheses and before any `>`, not at a `<` before white space, a bracket, `<`, `>` or the end, as its comment says.
